Standing Security Scanning for Portuguese SMEs
Real exposure, no security function, and assessments that arrived as English PDFs nobody acted on. A score somebody can watch, in Portuguese, with a fix attached to each finding.
Context
Small Portuguese companies with genuine exposure — a public website, mail, DNS — and nobody whose job is security. Where assessments existed at all, they arrived as long English PDFs that were filed and not acted on.
Constraint
Portuguese, and readable by an owner rather than an engineer. Every finding had to arrive with the thing to do about it.
Intervention
Scheduled scanning of the public-facing systems, with a dashboard carrying a security score, the points to improve, and the checks performed — each finding written as an action rather than a category.
Observed Shift
Security moved from an occasional report to a standing number somebody watches, and from a list of problems to a list of things to do.
