A small in-house legal team covering contracts, GDPR requests and compliance questions for an entire company. Most of the inbound was routine, and most of it was already answered somewhere in their own document set.
Constraint
Nothing leaves the company's own document set, and every answer has to say which document it came from. An answer a lawyer cannot check is not usable.
Intervention
A copilot over the team's contracts and policies: it drafts clauses, answers compliance and GDPR questions, and points at the source document behind each answer.
Observed Shift
Routine questions stopped occupying a lawyer to answer. The team's own material became searchable in the language people actually ask questions in.
