A WhatsApp Bridge to a Legacy ERP
A regional distributor's ERP held everything and was opened by almost nobody. The bridge answers plain questions in the thread the team already uses.

Context
A regional distributor running an ERP a decade old. The data in it was complete; the interface was not. Looking anything up meant a desktop, a login, and a screen most of the team had never been trained on, so most of the team asked the office instead.
Constraint
No migration and no changes to the ERP. Answers had to arrive where the team already talks to each other, without a new application to install or learn.
Intervention
A bridge that reads the ERP and answers questions asked in ordinary language over WhatsApp: monthly sales totals, invoices issued, best customer for a period, stock on hand against reorder point.
Observed Shift
Lookups moved from the desktop to the phone, and from the few people trained on the ERP to anyone on the team. The ERP itself was not touched.
Before
- Every lookup needed a desktop and an ERP login
- Training required before anyone could self-serve
- Field staff phoned the office to ask
After
- Questions asked in WhatsApp
- Answers in the same thread, no new tool
- No change to the ERP itself
